Lock in Your Certificate Dividend Rate

Certificates offer you a fixed dividend rate over a set term, giving you a better return than a savings account and more security than other forms of investments. With a Certificate your rate will never decrease during the term, no matter what’s happening in the market. Early withdrawal penalties may apply.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, there is a penalty for early withdrawals from your Certificate. The penalty is a forfeiture of part of the interest earned or that would have been earned, and it may be deducted from your principal amount. The interest rate you receive assumes you will keep the funds in the account until maturity, so withdrawing early will reduce your earnings.

However, there may be some exceptions where penalties may not apply, such as if the account owner dies, or is legally declared incompetent.

Please stop into a branch or contact us for more information on Certificate Withdrawl Penalties.

  • We do not allow adding funds to current Certificates. But we would be very happy to assist you in getting another Certificate.

  • At the time of renewal, your new Certificate rate will depend on our current rates.
