How Do I Get an FHA Loan?

What you’ll need to get started:

  • A satisfactory credit score (typically 620 or above)

  • Recent proof of income, such as 1–2 months of paystubs

  • At least one year of W2s

  • The home must be your primary residence, whether you’re purchasing or refinancing

  • A property appraisal completed by an FHA-approved appraiser

  • Your current debt details (auto loans, alimony, credit cards, etc.)

  • A debt-to-income ratio (DTI) that meets FHA guidelines

VA Home Loans
