CENTRICITY CREDIT UNION RAISED $1,250.00 WITH CHAIN OF HEARTS

Fundraiser Benefits Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare

 

HERMANTOWN – Centricity Credit Union raised more than $1,250.00 over the past month for Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare through the Chain of Hearts, a fundraiser coordinated by the Minnesota Credit Unions for Kids program. The campaign, which began Jan. 11 and culminated Feb. 27, raised money through the sale of paper links and hearts, which were personalized and linked together to form a chain displayed in the credit union’s lobby.

“The event was a great success, and we really want to thank our members for continuing to help others in their community, even during a worldwide pandemic,” said Brooke Peterson, PR & Business Development Specialist. “Centricity loves that the specialized services at Gillette benefit children locally, so the Chain of Hearts campaign directly contributes to programs that provide care for kids right here in our area.”

The Centricity Credit Union’s Chain of Hearts is part of a statewide fundraising effort. Through this fundraiser, Credit Unions for Kids – a sponsor program of the Children’s Miracle Network – Minnesota credit unions raised more than $48,000 for Gillette in 2020.

Credit Unions for Kids is a collaboration of credit unions, chapters, leagues and business partners engaged in fundraising activities to benefit Children’s Miracle Network-affiliated hospitals. All money raised through Minnesota’s Credit Unions for Kids program supports Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare, providing specialized care for people who have short-term or long-term disabilities that began during childhood. Gillette is based in St. Paul, with clinics located in Burnsville, Maple Grove, Minnetonka and St. Paul’s Phalen site. Greater Minnesota Clinic locations include Baxter, Bemidji, Duluth, Mankato and Willmar.
